XeroLite as a Bridge
XeroLite acts as a bridge that receives orders through a webhook URL from TradingView and places those orders with Interactive Brokers (IB). XeroLite does not make any trading decisions on your behalf.
The software simply facilitates the automated transmission of orders from your TradingView alerts to your Interactive Brokers account. All trading decisions, strategies, and risk management remain your sole responsibility.
Ensure TWS is Active
It is the user's responsibility to ensure that their Trader Workstation (TWS) is up and running at all times when using XeroLite.
Key points:
- If TWS is not operational, orders will not be placed
- XeroLite cannot be held responsible for missed trades due to TWS being offline
- Users should monitor TWS status regularly
- Consider using automated monitoring tools or alerts to notify you if TWS goes offline
Recommendation: Set up system monitoring to ensure TWS remains active, especially during active trading hours.

No Guarantee of Profit
XeroLite only facilitates the process of placing orders based on your configured alerts. We do not guarantee any profits or financial gains from using this software.
Important considerations:
- Trading carries inherent risks
- Results depend on your trading strategies and market conditions
- Past performance does not guarantee future results
- You may lose money trading, even with automated systems
- Always trade with funds you can afford to lose
Important: Never risk more than you can afford to lose. Use proper risk management techniques and position sizing.
User-Generated Requests
All orders placed through XeroLite are generated by user-defined alerts and strategies.
Your responsibilities:
- We do not influence or modify the orders you send
- Users are fully responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the order requests
- Verify your alert messages before going live
- Test your alerts thoroughly in paper trading mode first
- Double-check all order parameters (symbol, quantity, price, etc.)
Best Practice: Use the Alert Request Builder to ensure your alert messages are correctly formatted before deploying them.
Responsibility for Monitoring
Users must actively monitor their accounts, orders, and system performance.
XeroLite provides tools to automate order placement, but it is the user's responsibility to:
- Monitor account balances and positions
- Review executed orders and their outcomes
- Check system logs for errors or warnings
- Verify that orders are being placed correctly
- Manage risk and take corrective actions when needed
- Ensure network connectivity and system uptime
- Keep XeroLite and TWS updated to the latest versions
Automation does not replace oversight. Even with automated systems, regular monitoring is essential for successful trading.
