4. Activate Xerolite License

What this does: You're telling XeroLite that you've paid for it (or are on a trial) so it can run beyond the 15-day free trial.

Why it matters: Without activation, XeroLite stops working after 15 days. You won't be able to place trades. This step is required for ongoing use.

XeroLite requires a valid license key to operate. This guide walks you through activating your license key.

Available License Types

Purchase or obtain licenses from the XeroLite Downloads & Resources page:

If you need to update or change your license key:

  1. Click on Update License Key in the menu
  2. Paste your new license key into the License Key text box
  3. Click the Activate button to update your license

After activation, verify your license status:

  1. Check License Status: The interface should display your license status (Active, Trial, Expired, etc.)
  2. Verify License Type: Confirm that the correct license type is displayed
  3. Check Expiration Date: For trial licenses, note the expiration date
  4. Verify Features: Ensure all features are accessible based on your license type

  • Active: License is valid and all features are available
  • Trial: Trial license is active with expiration date shown
  • Expired: License has expired and needs renewal
  • Invalid: License key is incorrect or invalid

You'll know it worked when: You see "License activated until [date]" or "Active" status, and no red warning about an expired trial.

  • Activation Limit: Only one machine can be activated at a time
  • Deactivation: The original machine will automatically deactivate if the license is used on another machine
  • Free Trial License: Your license is valid and has full access to all features for 15 Days
